EURIE is endorsed and supported by EURAS, Eurasian Universities Union. Launched in 2008, EURAS is the union of Eurasian higher education institutions. EURAS is a non-profit international association, promoting cooperation among 89 universities from all around Europe, Asia and the Middle East and working for the advancement of educational standards in the Eurasian region. EURAS connects higher education institutions belonging to different geo-political and cultural backgrounds and seeks ways to enhance their dialogue and exchange of best practices. Other collaborative partners of EURIE are Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey and its Higher Education Business Council.

Venue

Istanbul is the location of EURIE 2017. With its rich history, unique blend of cultures and vibrant commercial life, Istanbul is home to 17 million people and an attractive destination for around 12 million international visitors every year. Istanbul is also a higher education hub with 68 universities hosting 600 thousand students. With many direct flights from all around the world, modern convention facilities and hotels, Istanbul is the ideal spot for international events such as EURIE.

Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar ICEC is the venue of EURIE 2017. Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar - ICEC, in the heart of the Congress Valley, has the capacity to host all kinds of organizations from conventions to fairs, from concerts to exhibitions. It is located at the cross section of Istanbul’s elegant restaurants, luxury brands and fashion district. There are many three-, four- and five-star hotels within walking distance to Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar - ICEC and its location provides easy and fast transportation to the important historical places of the city.

The summit will be held from March 22- 24 at Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center (ICEC) in Rumeli Building. The two-level Rumeli Building has a total area of 7.000 square meters, foyers with daylight, separable halls and its own private entry. Upper Level is a 3,500-guest capacity activity area of 2,100 m2 divisible in four independent spaces with a 1,900 m2 foyer. Lower Level with separate entrance. Hisar meeting hall, small scale meeting rooms in the Mezzanine level and Rumeli Terrace are part of the building.
